14. Sir Robert de FERRERS 2nd Earl of Derby [122636] (Robert of Derby (1st Earl)6, Henry of Ferrières-Saint-Hilaire and Chambray (Sir)2, Walkelin de Ferrières-Saint-Hilaire (Seigneur)1) was born on 27 May 1090 in Derbyshire England and died about 1160 in Warwickshire England aged about 70.

Robert II de Ferrers, 2nd Earl of Derby (c. 1100 \endash 1162) was a younger, but eldest surviving son of Robert de Ferrers, 1st Earl of Derby and his wife Hawise. He succeeded his father as Earl of Derby in 1139 (William, his elder brother, having been murdered in London some time before). He was head of a family which controlled a large part of Derbyshire including an area later known as Duffield Frith.

Robert married Countess Margaret PEVERELL of Derby [122637]. Margaret was born about 1114 in Nottingham Nottinghamshire England and died in 1154 in Warwickshire England aged about 40.
