Henry Hanbury Beaufoy had an exceptional intelligence confirmed by The Essays of high level he wrote at age of 13.

Henry Hanbury Beaufoy married Elizabeth Jenks in 1770 against the agreement of his father and for her, against the agreement of her uncle and tutor and this for a question of religious difference.
