Another name for Richard was Richard de BELLAOFAGO.
General Notes: In a Document received from Patrick de Meulemeester in early October 2021, he stated that,
In 1107 Richard de Beaufou was promoted Archdeacon of Norwich and his son Alan succeeded him.
After some time, he was he was appointed Bischop of Avranche in Normandy in 1134 at the time he was chaplain of Henry I of England.
He participated in the Council organized by the Pope Etienne in 1136.
Richard built also a Hospital and the Church of St Paul in Norwich.
Richard married Agnes FITZ-ELLY [124455].
