This William was the first broker for the Hudson Bay Company of London. He started his employment there in 1805. He was the first generation of four generations of Hagell family members that worked for the Hudson Bay Company until 1912.

Noted events in his life were:

• Residence: Croft Street, Islington Middlesex England.

• Occupation: a Broker and Fur Trader for the Hudson Bay Company, 1805.

William married Anna DOWSETT [92629] on 7 Jun 1800 in Suffolk England. Anna was born Abt. 1778 in England.

William married Sarah WATSON [92633] on 20 Aug 1836 in Lambeth Surrey England. Sarah was born in 1809 in Kent England and died in 1866 in Islington Middlesex England at age 57.

William next married Ann TOWN [92634] in 1867 in Kensington Middlesex England. Ann was born in 1810 in England and died in Dec 1904 in London England at age 94.
