General Notes:Lived at Kio Rd, Hataitai, Wellington.

He joined NZ Rifle Brigade. His Certificate of Discharge from the NZExpeditionary Force No.
64131 states "Lance Corporal GL Davidson servedabroad 1 yr & 25 days, dated 17 September
1919.
He was 20 1/2 when he enlisted, 5' 10", ruddy complexion, hazel eyes,brown hair, occupation -
Clerk."

Gordon was a Clerk (on Marriage certificate) also Manager of Denhards Bakery, Wellington.

Married Myra CLEGG in 1926 in Wellington.
She was a proficient singer, and got her teacher's Diploma. She was also a very good school student.

When unable to look after themselves, moved in with his son, Paul, in thevicarage in Havelock North where he died.

Gordon died of old age and was buried in Karori Cemetery, Wellington, on15 November 1977.

Myra was living with her son, Paul, in Wanganui when she died. Myra'sfuneral service held in All Saints, Kilbirnie, Wellington, and she wasburied in Karori Cemetery on 14 October 1983.
