General Notes: When Allan was about 4, his father sold the Bunnythorpe business and they moved in P.N. Allan began school at the College St Primary Sc. They then moved in Wellington and lived in Island Bay where his dad got himself a temporary job as a storeman.

In 1923 he worked for Relling & Nathan for 2.15.0 pounds a week. He bought a second hand twin cylinder motor cycle and rode it between Blenheim and the Rai Valley where Vi lived.

He married Violet LEOV in 1930, and they had 4 children.

Lawyer in Blenheim with Gascoigne, Wicks & Co. for many years.

From Pater HILLS, his grandfather, he became interested in cabinetmaking, radio and television, hi fi and stereo, photography, cars and engines.

He died in 1980 inBlenheim.
