1. Roger I de MOWBRAY of Masham [122960] was born in 1120 in Masham Yorkshire England and died in 1188 in Palestine at age 68.

General Notes: Amongst a great deal more, Wikitree says of Roger,
He journeyed to Jerusalem in 1186 and ended up with the army of the kingdom of Jerusalem at the disastrous battle of Hattin on 6/7 July 1187, where he was captured. The Templars ransomed him the next year, but he died soon after and was buried in the Holy Land. His estates passed to his son Nigel, who died in the course of the third crusade, and then to his grandson William, who paid relief for them in 1194.

Roger married Alice van GENT AAIST [122961]. Alice was born on 9 Jan 1120 in Lincoln Lincolnshire England and died about 1176 in Norfolk England aged about 56.
