"Notes for DANIEL PERRIN:
From the census records below, I can piece together a little bit of information about Daniel and Susan. Daniel was born in Canada and came to the United States in 1870, or when he was about 21-22 years old. I have no idea if he came with his parents, and/ or if he came directly to this area. He must have married Susan Armitage in Michigan. I previously had that they married in 1871, although the 1900 census record seems to indicate it was a little later. They are listed in 1880 in Au Gres in Bay County, Michigan and 1900 in Arenac County, Michigan, apparently near Au Gres. Arenac County was formed out of Bay County in the early 1880's, and Au Gres was in Whitney Township in Arenac Township, meaning that they were probably on the same farm in 1880 and 1900. They are listed in Turner Township, Turner Village, in 1910 and 1920. This is very close to Au Gres, but seems to show that they must have moved, and that Daniel was no longer farming. In the 1920 census, Daniel is listed as a blacksmith. Presumably they remained in Truner Village until Daniel died in in 1925. Susan lived another 16 years.
