Small 1951 gives marriage date as 1747 without further detail. Says he was lost at sea travelling for East India Company, no date.

James married Bower LYON [88798] [MRIN: 29586], daughter of Benjamin LYON [88799] and Bower WEALES [88800], on 17 Jan 1748 in Dulwich London England. Bower was born about 1730 in Rotherhithe Surrey England and died in 1807 aged about 77. Another name for Bower was Bower LION.
