3. Eleanor SIDDONS [5680] (Samuel², John¹) was born 26 Feb 1790 in Pennsylvania USA and died 25 May 1852 in Springboro Ohio USA at age 62.

General Notes: In an email, dated January 23, 2003, from Virginia Hawley Currey, she states:
"After Seba's death, Eleanor married twice: Aaron Vail by whom she had at least 3 children, one of whom was Samuel S. Vail of San Diego, CA. Her last husband was John Haines.

After my mother Grace Armitage Hawley died in 1948 I found notes written by S. S. Vail regarding his mother Eleanor. According to his notes, her grandfather John Siddons was born near Reading, PA 1729 or 1731. .
He married ELEANOR ROBERTS in Swede's Church, Philadelphia 6th mon 17th 1757, and in the year 1805 emigrated with his family to Uxbridge, Canada from Roaring Creek, PA. ELEANOR ROBERTS and JOHN SIDDONS had a son SAMUEL and perhaps a daughter called Eleanor. Records of the Presbyterian church in Abington show Samuel Siddons and Frances Brooke were married April 30, 1789. "

Eleanor married Seba ARMITAGE [5673] [MRIN: 3116], son of Amos ARMITAGE [5666] and Martha DOANE [5670], 29 Dec 1808 in Upper Canada. Seba was born 11 Jun 1786 in Bucks Co. Pennsylvania USA and died 27 Aug 1819 in Middletown Butler Co. Ohio USA at age 33.

   12 M    i. Mark ARMITAGE [8340] was born 06 Mar 1810.

   13 F    ii. Grace ARMITAGE [8341] was born 01 May 1812 and died 12 Jul 1830 at age 18.

+ 14 M    iii. Seth ARMITAGE [8342] was born 24 Nov 1813 in Upper Canada [New Market Post Office] and died 14 Apr 1896 in Camden [now Pennville] Jay Co. Indiana USA at age 82.

   15 M    iv. John ARMITAGE [8343] was born 10 Dec 1816 and died 19 Jun 1845 at age 28.

John married.

   16 M    v. Seba ARMITAGE [8385] was born 03 Oct 1819 in Middletown Butler Co. Ohio USA and died in May 1889 in Keokuk Iowa USA at age 69.

Seba married Sarah J ANDRUS [8344] [MRIN: 4092]. Sarah was born 03 Mar 1812 in Scotia Ohio USA.

Eleanor next married Aaron VAIL [6714] [MRIN: 4075].

The child from this marriage was:

   17 M    i. S.S. VAIL [8349] .

Eleanor next married John HAINES [6715] [MRIN: 4076].

9. Samuel SIDDONS, Jr. [23946] (Samuel², John¹) was born in 1804.

Samuel married Margaret HUTCHINSON [23950] [MRIN: 9346].

+ 18 M    i. John SIDDONS [23952] was born 24 Feb 1825 and died in 1914 at age 89.

   19 M    ii. Dyer SIDDONS [23953] was born about 1827.

   20 M    iii. Samuel B SIDDONS [23954] was born 06 Jun 1831.

   21 M    iv. George SIDDONS [23955] was born about 1836 and died about 1890 about age 54.

11. Hannah SIDDONS [6713] (Samuel², John¹) was born 26 Nov 1810 in Uxbridge Ontario Canada and died 17 May 1891 in Deckerville Sanilac County Michigan USA at age 80.

Hannah married Job ARMITAGE [6685] [MRIN: 3503], son of Amos ARMITAGE, Jr. [5676] and Mary PHILLIPS [6682], 28 Nov 1840 in Quaker Meeting House, Newmarket Ontario Canada. Job was born 15 Mar 1810 in East Gwillimbury Township York Co. Ontario Canada and died in Mar 1871 at age 61.

   25 F    iv. Mary Elizabeth ARMITAGE [6701] was born in 1846.

+ 30 M    ix. James Isaac ARMITAGE [6719] was born 05 Mar 1855 in Wallaceburg Ontario Canada and died 16 Apr 1916 in Detroit Michigan USA at age 61.
