Richard Wood emigrated to New Zealand around 1876 from Bunbury in Western Australia. He married Emma Short in Feilding, Manawatu NZ in 1890.
Emma died two weeks after the birth of their youngest child on January 31 1904. The youngest of their children - Olive was born 15 January 1904.

Olive married John Bryce DUTHIE [12528] [MRIN: 6657] in 1926 in New Zealand. John was born in 1903 in Pahiatua Wairarapa New Zealand and died on 24 Feb 1972 in Feilding Manawatu New Zealand at age 69.
