2. Joseph ANNABELL [15347] (Joseph¹) was born 17 May 1815 in Mansfield Nottinghamshire England and died 25 Aug 1893 in Napier Hawke's Bay New Zealand at age 78.

Joseph was a portrait painter and painter of horses.

Eloped with Mary Chambers (he was a Methodist, and she a Quaker). They married on 6 November 1839.

On 29 July 1852 they sailed in 'Chalmers' from Gravesend, London for Melbourne, Colony of Victoria [later the State of Victoria, Australia] with children John & Mary.

They came to Te Mata where Mary's brother Bernard was farming.
They built a house 'Undercliff' on Te Mata Peak Station, Hawkes Bay, NZ.

Died in 1893 in Wanganui, NZ.

Joseph married Mary CHAMBERS [15350] [MRIN: 1781], daughter of John CHAMBERS [15351] and Hannah [15352], 06 Nov 1839 in Derbyshire England. Mary was born 15 Aug 1813 in Heanor Derbyshire England.
