NOTICE is hereby given that Katherine Mary Cartlidge of "Latymer" 124 Bourne Hill in the borough of Palmers Green in the county of Middlesex Married Woman the Wife of John William Cartlidge and the Mother and legal Guardian of PIERS JULIAN CARTLIDGE, of "Latymer" 124, Bourne Hill, in the borough of Palmers Green aforesaid an infant and citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies by bifth heretofore called and known by the name of Piers Julian Fisher renounced relinquished and abandoned on behalf of Piers Julian Cartlidge the name of Piers Julian Fisher and that he will henceforth on all occasions whatsoever and at all times sign and use and be called and known by the name of Piers Julian Cartlidge in lieu of and substitution for his former name of Piers Julian Fisher; and notice is also hereby given that such change of name is formally declared and evidenced by deed poll under her hand and seal dated the 23^rd day of July 1950 and duly executed and attested and that such deed poll was enrolled in the Central Office of the Supreme Court of Judicature on the 31^st day of August 1950. - Dated this 12^th day of September 1950.

In a Document created by Robert Alderman, and received from Joyce [Pickering] Trousdale in early October, 2013, Robert states:
Piers is shown here as a Bank Official of Winchmore Hill on the certificate but there later appears to be a French or Swiss connection (Piers is shown as a director of a Swiss company and his wife sounds Swiss or French) and so the query here is - "did Piers & Susanna have any family on the European mainland?".
