Earl Gilbert d'UMFREVILLE of Angus [120372] (Lord Robert d'UMFREVILLE Baron of Prudhoe & Earl of Angus⁷, Lady Elizabetha COMYN⁶, Elizabeth de QUINCY⁵, Roger of Winchester (Earl [2nd])⁴, Sahir III of Winchester (Earl [1st])³, Robert Justiciar of Lothian (Sir)², Saer I¹) was born in 1310 and died in 1381 at age 71.

General Notes: In a Document received from Marigold [Roberts] Potter in March 2021, she stated that,
Gilbert joined John Balliol in his attempt to obtain the Scottish throne.
In 1346 Fought at Neille's Cross.
In 1378 Entailed Resedale on his half brother.

• He served as a Membr of Parliament for Angus at Westminster Middlesex England in Between 1332 and 1334

Gilbert married Joan de GRESBY [120377], daughter of Lord John de GRESBY Willoughby [120378].

Gilbert next married Maud de LUCY [120379], daughter of Lord Thomas Lucy II [120380].

Robert married Margaret de PERCY [120382], daughter of Lord Henry Percy II [120383].

41. Thomas d'UMFREVILLE of Harbottle Castle [120363] (Lord Robert d'UMFREVILLE Baron of Prudhoe & Earl of Angus⁷, Lady Elizabetha COMYN⁶, Elizabeth de QUINCY⁵, Roger of Winchester (Earl [2nd])⁴, Sahir III of Winchester (Earl [1st])³, Robert Justiciar of Lothian (Sir)², Saer I¹) died in 1386.

General Notes: In a Document received from Marigold [Roberts] Potter in March 2021, she stated that,
Sir Thomas inherited Resedale and Kyme from his half brother Gilbert.

Eleanor married Sir Thomas de LATHAM II of Lathom [81894], son of Sir Robert de LATHOM of Congleton [82068] and Katherine de KNOWSLEY [82069]. Thomas died in 1370.

The child from this marriage was:

+ 48 M    i. Sir Thomas Mathias de LATHAM [81893] was born in 1324 and died in 1382 at age 58.

Thomas married Joan de VENABLES [81890]. (b. 1328)

43. Richard FITZALAN II, 3rd Earl of Arundel [81789] (Alice de WARENNE⁷, Joan de VERE⁶, Robert de VERE Earl of Oxford⁵, Countess Hawise de QUINCY⁴, Sahir III of Winchester (Earl [1st])³, Robert Justiciar of Lothian (Sir)², Saer I¹) was born in 1307 and died in 1375 at age 68.

Richard married Eleanor PLANTAGANET [81788], daughter of Henry PLANTAGANET 3rd Earl of Lancaster [49532] and Maud de CHAWORTH [49533]. Eleanor was born in 1311 and died in 1371 at age 60.

The child from this marriage was:
