9. Sir, Thomas FORSTER, Kt. [46826] (John, Kt., 6th Governor of Bamborough Castle (Sir)⁷, Gilbert⁴, Gilbert de Bucton³, Roger², Adam¹) was born in 1340 in Buckton Northumberland England and died in 1392 at age 52.

General Notes: Thomas was a Companion of Harry [Hotspur] de Percy at [the battle of] Otterburn in 1388; and was severely wounded.
AND, in a Document received from Marigold [Roberts] Potter in February 2015, she stated, that Thomas was:
1384 Archer for the Scottish expedition. Commanded by John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster. The captain was Henry Percy, Earl of Northumberland.
1385 Archer Commanded by Henry Percy, Earl of Northumberland. The captain was Sir Thomas Ughtred 1388 Companion of Harry (Hotspur) Percy at Otterburn.
He was severely wounded in the Battle.

Thomas married Joan DE ELMEDEN [46827], daughter of Sir, William DE ELMEDEN [94393] and Elizabeth D'UMFREVILLE [94394], Joan was born in 1345 in Sedgefield Durham England and died on 4 Aug 1416 at age 71. Other names for Joan were DE ELMERDON and ELWERDEN.

Elizabeth was "Sister & co-heir to Gilbert d' Umfreville, Earl of Kyme"

Robert Forster, senior, of Ancroft acknowledged a deed whereby he granted, of his own pure and spontaneous wish, without fraud or guile, all his goods and chattels, alive and dead, to William Ancroft, citizen of London. Dated at London 1/2/1384
