8. George Richard DUPUIS [33744] (George John (Rev)², George (Rev)¹) was born on 23 Mar 1835 in Eton Berkshire England, was baptised on 10 May 1835 in Eton Berkshire England, and died on 30 Jan 1912 in Sessay Rectory Sessay Yorkshire England at age 76.

General Notes: In an eMail from John Jackson received in September 2008, he attached a History of the early Generations of the Dupuis Family. The Attachment included:-

George Richard Dupuis, the father of Julia Harrietta. He was born in Eton on 23rd March, 1835. He was also a Clergyman. In 1861(24) he was M.A. Assistant at Eaton School. He played first class cricket and his main team was Cambridge University (25 & 25ai).There is reference that he coached cricket at Eton. In 1881 it shows his son Arthur J. L. (the J should be G) as a boarder at Eton (26).

George Richard and his wife Annette must have been resident at Eton throughout the 1860's and early 1870's as they had six children there, including a daughter, Julia Harrietta.

Their other children were, Alice S (I or J) b. 1863, Arthur George Lloyd, b. 1864 (28ai), Annetta Cardine, b. 1869, Georgina Catherine, b. 1870, Laura, b. 1874, Margaret E., b.1878 in Sturminster Marshall, Dorset and Bertha, b. 1882 in Sessay, Yorkshire (28 & 28a).

During the 1861 census, George Richard and his wife Annette were visiting Cambridge, St. Edward Parish.

George Richard was rector of Sturminster Marshall Dorset from 1875 to 1877 and Rector of Sessay York from 1877 until his death. He died on 30th January, 1912 in Sessay Hall, Thirsk, Yorkshire (25a, 25ai & 25aii).

George married Annette Letitia LLOYD [33745] [MRIN: 12460], daughter of LLOYD [33916] and Catherine Susannah BALSTON [33917], on 09 Aug 1860 in Eton Berkshire England. Annette was born about 1838 in Newtonbarry Co. Wexford Leinster Ireland and died 1Qtr 1913 in London England.

Edward John George Dupuis, was born 1844 in Creeting and living in Eton with his parents during the 1851 census (27ai).
He was married in 1872 (27bi) in Wilton, Somerset to Sophia Letitia Heathcote, born in Hoodle Hampshire (27bii). The 1871 census (27bv) shows Edward John Gore Dupuis in Eton, occupation priest and Eton College. He was residing next door to Edward Balston who obviously had continued to keep his connections with Eton (27bv & 21aiii). Although next door, he is shown as a member of the same household. (It shows him as a son, this must be a mistake).
