General Notes: In a Document received from Jane Elizabeth Marshall in June 2016, she included the following:-
William worked with his father on fishing trawlers at Folkestone. One day in 1926, whilst out on their boat the Invicta, they rescued the passengers and crew of of an Imperial Airways plane which had crashed into the Channel. William subsequently went to work for Imperial Airways at London Airport first in Croydon and then at Heathrow.
